Menopause
Yoga for the menopause - rest, do less, reduce stress...
One of the best things you can do to support yourself around menopause is to rest, do less and reduce stress. Your body and mind are changing and giving yourself the space and time to do this can help to make the transition easier. This is true for whatever stage of menopause you might be at or if you are taking HRT or not.
I offer menopause yoga classes, yoga nidra workshops, massage therapies and 1-2-1 yoga and wellbeing sessions. I aim to give you the tools to rest and support yourself wisely in navigating the menopause with more ease and confidence.
I believe that yoga has a lot to offer women around menopause; from breathing practices to manage hot flushes, to relaxation techniques to supplement sleep, to movement programmes to lift mood and boost confidence. These are just a few of the ways yoga can support you.

Feeling exhausted is a common menopausal symptom. This could be through lack of sleep due to night sweats and changing sleep patterns or it could be through feelings of anxiety or overwhelm. Whatever the cause, lack of sleep can aggravate symptoms and make menopause feel harder.
This workshop welcomes you to a cocoon of nurturing rest where you can restore your energy levels and soothe your nervous system. The afternoon will be filled with yoga nidra practices, relaxing breathwork and very gentle movements. All of which can be done from lying down if you so choose.

"Menopause can be a disconcerting experience. Just when you think you have your act together, manage your thoughts, feelings and emotions with more ease... just when you have finally reached a comfortable level of poise and self confidence, menopause causes you to sit up and take nothing for granted. "
- Janine O'Leary Cobb
